Seeds of Hope International Academy

July 2011

During the visit to Uganda this month Executive Director Juliet Ofwono began investigating the requirements for registering Seeds of Hope as an NGO in Uganda as a prelude to establishing the Seeds of Hope International Academy. Initial inquiries were made about obtaining land in a good location at a fair price.

The Seeds of Hope International Academy will serve as an example of excellence in Christian pre-college and vocational education. The academy will include boarding facilities that will also serve as homes. Orphans will especially benefit from the planned nurturing family environment the boarding facilities will provide. Furthermore the academy will go beyond academics to provide business and vocational training to empower them to achieve success after graduation.

A business plan is being devised to determine the amount of funding that will be needed to establish the school including the land acquisition, building construction, equipment and textbook acquisition, and initial staffing. The plan will also detail sustained operations for long-term success at the academy. To as great extent as possible this project will make use of materials and labor available in Uganda.

An account has been established exclusively for the purpose of setting aside the funds needed for establishing the academy. The more quickly the funds grow the sooner the students will be able to enjoy the benefits of the home environment and top-notch education that the academy will provide.

The secondary students who have been told about the academy are very much looking forward to being amongst the first to attend. We invite you to contact us and contribute to the academy fund today so that these children and many to follow will have the opportunity to excel in Uganda and begin experiencing the blessings that arise when they put their education and talents to good use within their nation.
